Job summaryScotiabank is looking for candidates at the Senior Manager Level who will play a key role in driving transformational projects for International Banking & Digital Strategy.
The International Banking & Digital Strategy team is part of the larger Scotiabank Strategy Group, a vibrant community of practice and talent incubator of strategy practitioners from all business units and corporate functions of the Bank.
Together we act as trusted advisors to senior executives and support the delivery of key strategic initiatives.Successful candidates will be responsible for building strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the bank (including Digital leaders), providing advisory services, compelling strategic recommendations and driving their execution to contribute to the overall success of the bank.
Job summary Job Responsibilities
Work with divisional and in-country teams by providing customized strategy development and advisory support to create compelling strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders through research, analysis, and issue and opportunity identification
Lead projects end-to-end to deliver pragmatic and innovative solutions encompassing all perspectives and analyses relevant to of stakeholders’ needs
Provide strategic support to the leaders in all areas to help create meaningful experiences and build the bank of tomorrow
Perform complex analysis and clearly articulate strategic recommendations to stakeholders for decision making
Support senior executives with preparation of presentation materials to communicate strategy across the bank, align priorities, and drive cultural change
Ability to motivate, develop, inspire and empower others; encourage team development; promote positive inter-team interactions and bring a high level of enthusiasm to the work
Job Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor degree required, preferably in Business Administration or Engineering; MBA or finance-related postgraduate required
Experience in management consulting or corporate strategy, execution and project management experience required
Strong quantitative, analytical, and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with outstanding business acumen and attention to detail
Exceptional organization and project management skills, with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic environment
Strong political savvy and sensitivity to cultural diversity; relationship builder with the ability to obtain consensus among key stakeholders
Proven ability to work as an effective team player and partner; ability to motivate others, build trust with partners and colleagues, and work collaboratively across teams
Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong record of leadership in an academic, professional, or extracurricular setting
Desire to work in a hands-on team environment
Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Fluent in both Spanish and English Preferred
Availability to travel occasionally on short notice
