  • Develop and oversee strategic communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products
  • Create and oversees corporate brand standards, including graphic design and product development
  • Drive the design of briefing materials, fact sheets, rack cards, business cards, posters, PowerPoint presentations, etc.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance of corporate guidelines for communications, including coordination with colleagues to ensure communications materials maintain the highest standards
  • Act as spokesperson for the company in the communications area and answer general written and oral inquiries
  • Mentor and guide department team members to develop proactive online and traditional communications strategies that support the promotion of WCG programs and services, including social media
  • Lead and manage a small marketing team of staff and contractors
  • Work with the leadership team to support large-scale and strategic projects, including RFPs
  • Participate in emergency / crisis communication activities
  • Drive the development of annual marketing plans to support WCG’s contracts and ensures that plans are executed and adhered to
  • Support departmental and program leaders to ensure that contractual marketing requirements are met on time and at a high standard of quality
  • Initiate and coordinate the conceptual development of major projects, publications and websites
  • Plan and execute advertising policies of company and related budgets
  • Prepare cost estimates for communications products and services
  • Direct media relationships; direct and oversee media activities with newspaper, radio, television stations and billboard advertisers
  • Coordinate, delegate and respond to inquiries and requests for information
  • Oversee the development of speeches, briefing notes, newsletters and other written and electronic materials
  • Required :

  • 5 + years’ progressive experience in a Communications / Marketing management role
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing tasks and priorities and deliver quality product on time or ahead of schedule
  • Excellent delegation skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in : Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)WordPressAcrobat ProMicrosoft Office SuiteA variety of social media platforms
  • Excellent problem solving abilities
