Arbor Memorial Inc., through its subsidiaries, is a significant player in the cemetery and funeral business from coast to coast with over 140 locations across Canada.

Resthaven Memorial Gardens located in Scarborough, Ontario is seeking a customer-focused, innovative and results-oriented Branch Manager to lead its Sales and Administration team.

Resthaven Memorial Gardens conducts approximately 520 interments per year and is supported by an offsite, McDougal & Brown Scarborough, a short distance away which serves approximately 530 families annually.

Reporting to the General Manager, Sales, the Branch Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Branch and is responsible for creating a culture of positive employee engagement in the pursuit of creating best in class Customer Experience.

In addition, duties include achieving the annual branch budget, individual and branch sales and product mix objectives. In addition, the Branch Manager is responsible for managing the Branch Administration team.

The Branch Manager is responsible for the following :

  • Creating and nurturing a workplace culture that embraces teamwork and enhances the employee experience.
  • Ensuring our Client Families experience the best in class customer service.
  • Achieving with the goal of surpassing the annual branch budget, individual and branch sales and product mix objectives including meeting and surpassing profit objectives;
  • accurately forecasting and managing a variet of inventory categories.

  • Hiring, training and motivating a growing diverse sales staff.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation sof the Branch including handling customer issues and complaints in a satisfactory and timely manner.
  • Directly managing and coaching a team of Sales Representatives and Branch Administrators.
  • Providing on-going recruiting, training and development of sales employees.
  • Directing leaving and organzing the sales training program.
  • Ensuring full compliance with the requirements of federal and provincial regulatory authorities.
  • Demonstrating superior leadership, communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required for this role :

  • Minimum of five years of sales experience and a minimum of two years of management and leadership experience.
  • College or university education in business or a related field is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience hiring and training new sales employees.
  • Articulate, confident and well organized.
  • Possessing a proven track record of in the use and implementation of Microsoft CRM and is able to directly deliver training to direct reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent proficiency and knowledge of Arbor Information Systems (Arranger, FOCUS).
  • Excellent computer skills including all day to day knowledge requirements of MS Office 365.
