If you want to grow and thrive within a dynamic, stable, fulfilling team projects of various nature, we are looking for an electrical engineer to join the team of Major Metro Asset Maintenance Programs.

The GPMAM is responsible for replacing the fixed equipment which has reached the end of its useful life. The projects carried out are very varied : construction of ventilation stations, accessibility projects (addition of elevators inside existing stations), various deliverables of an electrical nature (medium and low voltage) and addition or modernization of equipment for telecommunication.

GPMAM carries out its projects in IAGC (engineering, procurement and construction management) mode. Carrying out projects often requires multidisciplinary engineering teams (architecture and engineering (all disciplines are represented).

Be part of an integrated project team of around 250 people at the heart of operations. our client by joining Stantec, one of the largest engineering firms in the world and in Quebec, proud partner of the STM for more than 20 years.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical plans and specifications;
  • Carry out : - short-circuit studies;
  • load studies; - electrical calculations in the choice of conductors and the voltage drop; -calculs for the choice of lighting devices;
  • calculations for the addition of fire alarm components; - MALT calculations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of calls for tenders;
  • Provide technical assistance during implementation ( respond to QT and prepare technical documents following changes to contracts);
  • Approve shop drawings and write reports;
  • Prepare work instructions for the internal contractor;
  • Validate the working methods of the external contractor;
  • Supervise the work of night survey teams and occasionally participate in night surveys.

    Requirements :

  • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
