As a member of the Stewardship Investment team, the Senior Advisor will be responsible for identifying and analyzing the material ESG risks of public and private companies in the context of investment transactions.
These analyses will highlight issues requiring post-investment follow-ups that use, among other things, performance indicators.
The Senior Advisor will also take part in commitment initiatives with companies with which CDPQ seeks to establish a dialogue.
In addition, he or she will collaborate on the development of the team’s strategy as well as various CDPQ policy and position initiatives, including through proxy voting.
Lastly, the Senior Advisor will participate in the monitoring of emerging ESG risks, stewardship investment trends, and industries / companies that have a positive impact on society and the environment.
Main responsibilities :
Serve as liaison with the investment teams, answering their ESG questions and helping them develop their due diligence plans; and
Conduct or participate in research on stewardship investing issues, themes and opportunities.
Knowledge of private equity and infrastructure investment processes is an asset; and
Excellent command of written and spoken English and French.
High level of communication skills, both spoken and written; and
Diplomatic, with an ability to influence.
