Click here to see how we celebrate our community impact and our people who make it possible!Purpose : Contract Construction Planner will be responsible to plan and estimate all capital construction projects by retrieving and collecting all relevant information and presenting it in such manner that the work can be executed expediently and as cost effective as possible.

To do this well they must have strong technical, interpersonal, communication, computer and self-management skills.Responsibilities : Create high quality field execution plans that account for the correct people, equipment, materials and services to perform work in a safe, efficient and cost effective mannerDevelop plans based on priority and risk rankProvide feedback to the project team during constructability reviews and / or flag any constraints that prevent planning as requested.

Field verify the construction packages such that they can be planned effectively, and are environmentally, health and safety consciousPrepare structured job plans with effective breakdown of the work required including all operation steps and duration, resources, all relevant documentation, and planned costContinuously seek improvement by soliciting feedback from a variety of stakeholders both during the planning process and following work execution.

  • Understand and apply Worley standards, other applicable standards / policies / procedures, and updatesWhat you will bringExperience and Education : Five or more years of planning and coordinating;
  • maintenance and turnaround activities experience is considered an assetExperience in the oil and gas or similar industrial environment preferredPost-secondary degree, diploma or trade certification in a relevant technical field is an assetHigh School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)Possess a valid driver’s licence and a clean driving recordSkills and Knowledge : Computer proficiency specifically in the Microsoft Office suiteWorking knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (preferably SAP and / or Primavera) and material management systemsDeep understanding of construction planning and scheduling concepts as well as scheduling tools and techniquesGeneral technical understanding of the oil and gas industry and mechanical equipment;
  • You constantly interact with others across a multitude of business units and effectively communicate with them to develop positive working relationshipsYou’re highly motivated and continually seek greater knowledge about the systems, processes and hazards in the workplace, in order to understand not just what you do but why you do itWorking ConditionsThe position is mainly office based but there is an expectation for daily field verification of plans.
