Here's what you'll be doing....

Responsible for Retail online strategy, operational execution of strategy and action plans. Oversees and manages multiple ecommerce sales channel operations to drive sales and profitability.

Continuously identify new areas of ecommerce growth.

Key Responsibilities include :

  • Lead, coach and develop the ecommerce team to ensure efficient order turnaround and excellent customer service
  • Develop and execute comprehensive ecommerce action plans
  • Propose and execute projects for technical improvements that support sales and profitability
  • Provide sales forecasting and analysis on a weekly, monthly and annual schedule
  • Align online and in store customer experience with organizational policies and practices
  • Maximize the assortment of branded products available via online channels and efficient textbook search process
  • Collaborate with marketing and product managers to develop ecommerce promotional plans
  • Uses analytics, A / B testing and other techniques to drive promotional and content strategies, increase conversion rate and customer acquisition
  • Create and implement SEO strategy
  • Develop and implement product onboarding in collaboration with buyers and marketing team
  • Ensure shopping cart supports secure payment methods and PCIDSS compliant data security; implement improvements where possible
  • Oversee Amazon sales channels including product sourcing, pricing strategy, order fulfillment and inventory management
  • Keep abreast of technological developments in the ecommerce space
  • Education, Qualifications, and Experience :

  • University / college graduate or ecommerce technical training
  • At least four years’ experience in ecommerce environment
  • Experience with web design, coding or web development is an asset
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes :

  • Driven to continually improve online sales based on data / analytics
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on a team
  • Strong product knowledge and retail business acumen
  • Ability to maintain a balance between long-term planning and day-to-day operating
  • Excellent at building teams and alliances to benefit online business and overall retail sales
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sensitivity and understanding of goals and challenges of others
  • Solid knowledge of web technologies including web platforms, SEO, SEM, social media
  • Understand current market trends in ecommerce
