The Pre-Sales Architect is an external facing role primarily focused on communicating the Diebold Nixdorf solution to prospective and existing customers and key industry partners.
You provide customer and market feedback by gathering and analyzing marketplace intelligence for new solutions and translating into potential technical solutions with business requirements.
As a member of the Business Development, New Solution team, this role is responsible for serving as an active contributor in meetings by presenting and leading design sessions, capturing and documenting requirements and action items, and documenting requirements for both internal and external solutions.
The Solution Pre-Sales Architect will also participate in reviewing existing customer solutions and provide recommendations for customer target operating models and provide and evangelize technical vision to the Engineering and Professional Services groups.
A Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Science
Minimum 5 years of experience in an architecture role
Strong understanding of coding languages and tools including but not limited to C++, VB, XML, Windows .NET, C# developer or VB.NET
Minimum of 8 years of software development experience with 5 of those years spent designing and developing software solutions applications
Experience architecting scalable database solutions on Microsoft SQL Server is an asset
Strong integration design and development, UI design and development experience
Strong problem solving skills
Previous experience working onsite at a customer location in a consulting capacity
Experience in conducting development activities using stringent source code control procedures
Minimum of 4 years of project development / methodologies experience : full system development lifecycle, Agile, etc.
Possess advanced written and oral communication skills for producing software design specifications and conducting JAD sessions with customers
Experienced in developing and documenting use cases desired
Willing and able to travel to customer sites up to 50% of the time
Financial services industry expertise preferred
