Description :

Your role as junior designer in mechanical engineering will be to prepare plans, quotes and other technical documents in various fields of activity.

In addition, you will have to ensure the quality of the service and maintain a good relationship with the internal customer by contributing to projects related to industrial mechanics, mines and metallurgical processes, among other things in the fields of gold, iron, steel and iron.

Description of the tasks

  • Perform 3D design and modeling within the framework of mandates related to heavy machinery, conveyors, pumping systems, crushers, grinders, metallurgical processes, boiler making, etc.
  • Carry out the design and 3D modeling of factory fixtures in the frame projects under study or in the detail engineering stage.
  • Perform 3D component assembly design and modeling to solve mechanical systems problems.
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans and specifications ept.

  • Support design teams in the offices of Labrador City, Abitibi, Toronto and Vancouver.
  • Produce detailed design deliverables in "flat work" and systems welded.
  • Develop versatility on software such as SmartPlant, SolidWorks and CADWorx.
  • Support the design and construction of industrial piping.
  • Participate in site surveys.

  • Requirements :
  • DEC in mechanical engineering, DEP in building design or industrial design or any other combination of relevant experience.
  • 0 to 3 years experience.
  • Good knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Navisworks tools.
  • Mastery of Computer Aided Drafting
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite (Outlook, Project, Word, Excel), Acrobat Reader,of Access and other applications, databases and interfaces.
  • Trump : bilingualism (English and French).
  • Trump : experience and / or interest in mechanics in the field mining and metals sector.
  • Asset : ASP Construction map.
