Your responsibilities

  • Provide technical and commercial support to front end sales team. The primary objective is to improve customer relationships & exceed profitable order received targets.
  • Development of Mission Upgrade solutions for PI customers. The primary focus is on existing ABB asset life extension strategies and to target competitive replacements.
  • Prepare accurate & quality business tenders. The KPIs are to be on-time, meet customer needs and ABB guidelines. Coordinate input from internal and external stakeholders including;
  • operations, finance and legal to develop proposals. Plan, facilitates and conducts customer negotiations. Ensure the successful outcome of offers and transfer to execution teams.

  • Support front end sales team with end-users visit, EPCMs & OEMs to introduce ABB capabilities. Create, review, analyze and refine customer requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver effective product and solutions presentations. Represent ABB with white papers at targeted industry events.

  • Build & maintain up to date market information (installed base, competitor offerings to customers, price levels). Bring new offerings and applications to local market in collaboration with the ABB global product lines, HBLs, LBLs, COEs, Engineering and R&D teams.
  • Stay updated on new features, marketing updates and their applications to local market.

  • Develop, implement and keep an up to date sales plan to keep growing ABB engagement with installed base. Ensure that customer business strategy and relevant information (investment plan, key players, active projects etc) applicable to our growth is updated and documented.
  • Pro-actively inform Business Directors of gaps or future needs of the market.

  • Participate in deployment of new products / tools / offering (such as ABB care, Electrification and Automation upgrades, advanced services etc.
  • Work in collaboration with ABB local and global teams in order to optimize and maximize our footprint. Understand complete ABB PI portfolio and competitive solutions.

  • Act as focal point for problem resolution and monitor customer satisfaction. Engage operations teams to solve customer issues.
  • Comply with the ABB sales processes and effectively use tools such as use of SFdC, LN database, Team Sharepoint, ServIS, CCRP, NPS etc.

  • Your background

  • University degree in Engineering (Electrical or Automation).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial projects or service delivery environment with hands-on knowledge of electrical power train and automation equipment (such as PLC, DCS, QCS, Actuators, VFDs, Motors, MCC, Switchgear, Breaker, Transformer etc).
  • Strong technical communication and presentation skills both verbal and in writing.
  • Must seek out new and innovative ways of approaching situations and tasks.
  • Experience in preparing tenders and making presentations would be an asset.
  • Must be open to travel as required (expect 10-20% of the time)
  • Bilingualism written and spoken (French and English) is a must and Spanish would be considered an asset
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Ability to continuously learn and develop professional expertise in a fast-paced environment.
