The following job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills or efforts associated with or expected of the role, but are intended to reflect principal job elements Position Summary Duties & Responsibilities Provide food & beverage service to customers in large dining settings Completes opening / closing duties according to standards set forth Completes all side work and cleaning duties as described on checklists Has full knowledge of entire menu, as well as daily specials, desserts, etc.

Washes all glassware and maintains a sanitary environment in accordance with the health codes At times may take guest orders, ring them in, and expedite the orders from the kitchen in a presentable and timely manner Setting up and breaking down displays and buffets pertaining to menu content and themes At times may receive payment for food and beverage provided and provide change to guests Complete all other duties as assigned Requirement Note : Skills, Abilities & Attributes Guest oriented with a sincere, helpful, caring and friendly personalityAble to work well with othersAble to take initiative within given guidelinesPays precise attention to detail, order and cleanliness Enjoys offering exceptional service and meeting the needs of othersHas effective communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)Able to work with and understand financial information with data and basic arithmetic functionsAble to handle cash with accuracyAble to maintain composure and objectivityAble to identify problems and make recommendations for improvementsAble to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accuratelyIs flexible with their schedule, able to work long hours, shift work, evenings, weekends and holidays as business levels requireAble to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects Education & Experience Experience in a hotel or a related field is preferred Previous serving experience is preferred Experience handling cash an asset High school diploma an asset Smart Serve Certificate required
