The Rogers Information and Cyber Security Unit is seeking a highly motivated Senior Security Architect to join our Security Architecture team.
This position provides strategic direction to internal business unit customers, supports various businesses and information technology initiatives related to technology platforms, and collaborates with stakeholders to reduce risks across Rogers.
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Cyber Security Architecture, this role will lead the secure design of technology platforms including cloud, provide advisory services and thought leadership across the organization.
Summary of Essential Job Functions :
Serve as a senior cyber security consultant to the various lines of businesses by providing subject matter expertise as it relates to technology platforms and emerging technologies.
Educate and communicate security requirements, policies, standards and procedures to business / internal stakeholders as it relates to projects and strategic initiatives.
Provide strategic direction for migration of cloud workloads, infrastructure, business units, business processes and external suppliers for information security risks, identify the potential threats and exposures.
Conduct security architecture reviews of planned initiatives across the organization and produce high quality Threat models for targeted environments clearly articulating risks.
Accountable for functional architectures, design specifications and implementation plans for requirements documents, architecture diagrams, solution designs and other written and verbal information.
Weigh business needs against security concerns and provide risk-based recommendations to enhance cloud-based information systems security, which are practical and achievable, thereby allowing the Lines of Business to make informed risk decisions related to the cloud platforms.
Work with third party teams and internal development groups to provide guidance and direction on penetration tests and vulnerability scans.
Provide strategic direction and recommendations to development and operational teams to address security weaknesses and identify potential new security solutions.
Represents security interests in development and implementation of the overall global enterprise architecture.
Extensive hands-on experience with IAM.
Required Experience :
Undergraduate degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Management or related field.
7+ years of information security consulting, advisory or training experience, 3 of which are specific to security architecture.
Sound knowledge of I / P / SaaS platforms with at least 2 years demonstrable experience in each deployment model.
5+ years of relationship management and / or leadership experience.
Previous experience in the telecommunications industry is an asset.
Direct experience with information security frameworks including ISO 27002 : 2005. NIST, PCI and COBIT
3 years of IAM experience
3 years producing security architecture designs and artifacts.
Required Technical Skills :
CISSP, SSCP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, Togaf, AEA or similar certification preferred
Excellent initiative, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Strong written and communication skills are required.
Demonstrable understanding of how to network and develop working relationships with various key stakeholders.
Strong business and technical acumen.
Direct experience with developing security metrics, KRIs and KPIs for leadership
Communicates effectively with meaningful and articulate verbal discussions. Creates clear and coherent written material.
Synthesizes information into succinct, concise and logical summaries and reports.
Ability to work with teams to achieve goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Works well under pressure and time constraints and can prioritize competing priorities appropriately.
Can work independently with minimal supervision and direction.
