As a UI Developer at Pivotree, you will :

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Team Leads and fellow developers to create compelling interactive experiences.
  • Review and fully understand feature requests and functional documents prior to development
  • Develop estimates for level of effort on solutions and work to meet those goals
  • Write valid, well formed code that follows established industry standards
  • Help with debugging, testing, and performance optimization of solutions
  • Participate in code reviews for all front end work
  • Participate in daily scrum meetings, sprint planning and sprint retrospectives to help improve and evolve
  • Always be learning and encourage those around you to do the same
  • Successful candidates will have :

  • A passion for working in the eCommerce space
  • At least 2 years experience in building user interfaces using HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript and jQuery, and consuming JSON web-services via AJAX.
  • Experience with precompiled CSS using LESS or SASS, and frontend frameworks like Bootstrap
  • Basic knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and MVC and server side technologies such as JSP and JSTL, PHP, or ASP.
  • Basic knowledge of Image Manipulation Tooling like Photoshop
  • Strong skills in time management, critical thinking, problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience with code and issue management software like Git and JIRA
  • Degree in Computer Science, or Information Technology, Graphic Design or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in fluent English
  • You’ll stand out if you have :

  • eCommerce development experience using SAP hybris or Oracle ATG
  • A strong understanding of web accessibility and the WCAG 2.1 guidelines
  • Strong creative and visual design skills including colour theory, typography, layout, user interface design and production techniques
  • Experience building JavaScript Libraries / Plugins
