As a senior member of our Log Analytics team you will lead the design and implementation of storing and accessing log data in open-
source search engines and storage using technologies such as : lucene indexing, Solr, elasticSearch, hadoop / HDFS, spark etc.
You will solve complex and interesting problems in the area of distributed computing, high volume transaction processing, and large scale system design.
Our success requires us to process over 30 billion log entries a day in a SaaS environment. Our group has some very hard and interesting problems to solve in the area of processing and analyzing large amount of data in real time with distributed systems where data storages span clusters comprising hundreds of nodes.
QUALIFICATIONS* B.S, M.S, or Ph.D in Computer Science or equivalent* 5+ years' experience in the industry* Experience with lucene indexing based open source software development and consulting* Very good knowledge of data accessing via indexes* Programming languages : Java* Strong communication skills, analytical skills* Must be a team player* Experience with development of searching infrastructure and / or applications is a plus* Experience with statistical and data analysis is a plus

Detailed Description and Job Requirements Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures.
Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications.
You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products / services / processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology.
Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products / services / processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
