As a key member of the Corporate Finance team, the Senior Business Analyst in Treasury is responsible for supporting a highly-

skilled team in strategic planning and managing operations on wide range of banking, investment, debt, insurance and general accounting functions to ensure UHN has appropriate cash flows to support operations, safeguard assets, and ensure compliance with debt covenants.

Treasury also plays a lead strategic role in investment and financing matters.

  • ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for supporting and implementing organization-wide treasury strategic initiatives, cash and debt management, risk management and long term plans related to UHN’s capital structure
  • Maintain ongoing compliance with the organization’s external borrowing requirements
  • Coordinate, support and / or lead the Treasury month-end, year-end and budgeting / forecasting processes
  • Provide ongoing support to new business operations and activities as they relate to treasury
  • Providing sound and timely information to the management team to facilitate optimal decision making
  • Support and / or lead the investment reporting and reconciliation process
  • Prepare journal entries and complete reconciliations as required
  • Assist in Insurance renewals and / or claims
  • Performing cross-functional and / or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • University degree in Business Administration or equivalent program; MBA / CTP / CFA are an asset
  • Professional accounting designation or relevant combination of education and experience
  • At least five years of related experience in an accounting and / or treasury environment with exposure to analyze and interpret complex financial / business data;
  • experience working in a hospital is an asset

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills required
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills, including accurately performing detailed numerical computations using large amounts of data
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills required, with demonstrated ability to adjust to changes
  • Demonstrated composure under pressure / stressful conditions and ability to meet multiple and competing deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
  • Ability to take initiative and exhibit positive leadership
