As a member of the Canada GHR team, the Talent Acquisition (TA) Consultant will report to the SVP, HR Executive, and under the guidance of local HRM & HRC will be responsible for complete end to end, full cycle recruitment activities in multiple lines of business across Canada.
Involvement in a range of year round campus recruitment initiatives is also a key area of focus for this role. The opportunity to participate in various HR projects and initiatives will also be available for the right candidate.
The TA Consultant must be a self-starter with an excellent track record of success in their current environment. The successful incumbent must have a sense of urgency, strong attention to detail, have a proven ability to handle multiple priorities with great organizational skills, and loves recruiting.
Overview of Role
Developing and maintaining solid relationships with hiring managers in a variety of lines of business and office locations
Managing the end to end hiring process : from securing management approvals, posting job vacancies, and tracking candidate flow through the hiring process i.
e. scheduling interviews, sourcing candidates, coordinating logistical requirements, managing a positive candidate experience
Preparing, issuing and tracking onboarding information packages and activities, including : initiating and managing background checks, initiating new hire internal requests (technology, facilities, etc.
transferring new hire files to payroll and HR Service Centre for processing, following up with new hires and managers to ensure that any onboarding issues are addressed in a timely manner, validating work authorization
Administration tasks related to hiring processes e.g. offer letters, invoice processing
Providing up to date reporting / tracking on hiring activities
Participate in Company PR initiatives where appropriate (i.e. job fairs, campus programs)
In partnership with HR generalists, support end to end campus recruiting related activities (Co-ops, Summer interns, Full time Analyst hires) from posting jobs to onboarding candidates
Other related activities as required to ensure the smooth functioning of the overall HR team
The following background of skills and experience will put you at the front of the line for an interview :
3-5 years related experience in HR, recruitment, or recruitment agencies
A passion for recruiting : helping candidates find jobs and managers hire teammates
Tech Savvy : extremely proficient HR systems skills are critical : e.g. Workday HRIS, applicant tracking, MS Office
Highly detail oriented, with appreciation for accuracy of data and information
High energy, outgoing, responsive, proactive self-starter
Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-confidence and the ability to quickly build relationships with experienced managers
Supremely organized with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and expectations of clients (i.e. hiring managers)
Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with sense of urgency
Post-secondary qualifications, ideally with a human resources or business management focus
Previous experience working in a highly matrixed global organization is strongly preferred
