Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Perform project planning activities by establishing project plans specifying goals, strategy, scheduling, and identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
  • Structure the projects according to the resources and staffing availability at Verifone, VARS and customers. Work with the functional manager to ensure staffing is adequately scheduled.
  • Involve in the technical aspect of the solution and get along with developers, implementation analysts and quality assurance analysts to ensure a viable solution is provided to the customer.
  • Maintain accurate and complete project documentation, closing Work Orders upon project completion.
  • Communicate project expectations, project issues and progress to customers, VARS and Verifone Senior Management, and prepare narrative and evaluative reports and presentations.
  • Lead project meetings to discuss goals and objectives, strategy, processes, personnel and delivery-related issues aligning with all Verifone and internal PMO PnP's.
  • Act as a mentor to more junior project team members providing feedback on project team resources for the purpose of yearly performance reviews.
  • Provide support to the Verifone sales team by providing technical presentations, input to Business Cases, Statement of Works, RFI’s, RFQ’s, and RFP’s in order to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.
  • Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, resolving and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.
  • Handle Client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical risks and tracks them.
  • What qualifications will you need to be successful?

    Knowledge & Experience :

  • 3-5 years of Project / Product management experience preferably in a Payments / Banking / Retail environment.
  • Working knowledge of Retail transaction processing, Pin-pads / POS and payment authorization.
  • PMP certification highly desirable.
  • Highly collaborative, works well in a dynamic and comfortable with change and complexity. Likes to shift between the "big picture" and the small-but-crucial details, knowing when to concentrate on each.
  • Working knowledge of project metrics, including gathering, reporting, trend analysis, creation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, MS Project, MS VISIO, Adobe Acrobat Professional and you stay apprised of current industry trends and new technology.
  • Fabulous at cost tracking and reporting against agreed Purchase Orders, and weekly delivery of cost to completion reporting to customers.
