Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States and around the world.
We have two state-of-the-art potato processing plants in PEI, one in Lethbridge, AB and another in Jamestown, ND. Headquartered in Dieppe, NB, the company also operates an appetizer plant in Wheatley, ON and has sales office locations in Toronto, Montreal and Boston.
Reporting to the Director of Food Service Sales- West, the Account Manager must be a customer focused, highly motivated, result driven individual who can thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
The candidate will take responsibility for their area as part of the Canadian Foodservice Team, as well as working with part of a team to secure new business, and achieve your territory objectives.
Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications :
Completion of post Secondary education;
Five to ten years experience in the Food Service Industry (preferably national chain environment);
Excellent communication, problem solving and decision making skills;
Must be able to demonstrate effective time management skills;
Must have a proven track record of success and be results driven;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications;
Proactive self starter with the ability to negotiate and problem solve.
Key responsibilities :
Responsible for effectively managing Regional Chain Accounts and achieving annual sales objectives;
Grow the Cavendish Farms business throughout the territory;
Implement a strategic business plan to support customer base and drive new sales;
Maintain key customer and distributor relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base;
Maximize profit through ongoing customer focused relationship building;
Develop new business opportunities at the distributor and operator levels;
Manage an existing territory of distributors, operators, and regional accounts;
Monitor competitive activity and market trends;
Regularly communicate and work with various departments within the organization including; Production, R & D, Quality Assurance, Finance, Logistics and Customer Service.
Establish budget and manage forecast;
Regular travel throughout the region;
Ensure compliance and execution of Head Office programs;
Enhance sales and profitability;
Weekly sales reports and periodic reports;
All other duties as assigned.
