VP - Financial Analyst Compliance
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Serve as a key leader within the finance function to translate business strategy with internal clients into financial plans.
Support decision-making to achieve business and ultimately enterprise financial objectives.
Responsible for advising and supporting multiple units with financial management and analysis.
Performs a variety of complex duties including the collection and analysis of financial data.
Prepares materials and analysis for distribution to executive management.
1.Business and Strategic Planning
Strategic and operational finance advisor to budget owners
Partner with budget owners (program team leads, initiative sponsors) to improve financial processes, performance and facilitate efficient operations
Responsible for monthly and quarterly financial deliverables for respective business areas : program / project accrual prep, variance analysis, board reporting, budgets, forecasts, reporting, operating plan, etc.
Collaborate effectively across functions and programs to understand key business drivers, and how such drivers affect performance.
Develop effective metrics to manage performance
Facilitated bi-annually expense allocation methodology review to receive buy-ins from business partners
Develop Budget / Forecast Calendar to build analytical frameworks and forward-looking models to enable quality decision-making
Assist business development teams with financial modeling for new strategic initiatives
Perform ad hoc analysis and duties as required, such as partnering assessments and board presentations
Promote a mindset of simplification, standardization and continuous improvement
Meet necessary corporate finance deliverables and timelines
2. Financial Analysis and Presentation
Conduct meaningful and insightful analysis; develop and maintain financial models to track and forecast the financial trajectory vs budget and prior year.
Build linkage with financial models upon business change / drivers / initiative to quantify various scenarios.
Monitor impact to bank revenue due to customer behavior, industry trends, market competition, and changing economic scenarios.
Develop and distribute financial reporting to senior management and executive leadership.
Provides monthly review and evaluation of actual financial performance compared to budget and prior year of the total bank and individual business units.
Research relevant business developments in the organization and / or within the industry
Review / Revise / Amend SLA with different entities
KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
7 years of experience in the Financial Service Industry
Proficient skills in Excel, PowerPoint; Proficient skills with Essbase
Highly accountable, with ability to independently lead and coordinate complex projects across multiple subject and functional areas
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to summarize complex financial information to provide visibility and recommendations to senior management for decision make
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field Bachelor's Degree
