PTAGis seeking an experienced Project Manager for our client working in Canada on a Nuclear Project. The incumbent will bring the strategic development and business leadership skills required to continue to build upon the strong performance achieved to date.
Reporting to the Vice President, Projects the incumbent will be responsible for developing / building the team to support project execution in the area of Project Controls (Scheduling, Cost Control, and Planning).

Establish Project Controls teams, systems and procedures for assigned major projects
Planning & Scheduling oversight for execution of project master schedules, reporting requirements, staff and client meetings and milestone tracking
Estimating & Budgetary Control for all stages of project from preliminary to commissioning stages. Duties include creating cost code structure, development of estimates, preparation of tendering documents, forecast & trend reports, change control management, evaluation and analysis of bids
Ensuring Project Systems are established through all stages of a major project; i.e. communication and computer systems
Manage and maintain an optimal level of Project Administration throughout the lifecycle of the project
Ensure Document Control systems and procedures are in place and performing throughout the project
Maintain constant communication with internal and external project stakeholders on the complete health and status of the project versus forecasted results
Internal relationships; Corporate Head Office, Project Manager (assigned to your project) and other Managers that the Project Controls Manager will work with daily : Procurement, Engineering, Quality Assurance, etc.
External relationships; crucial to maintain a working relationship with the
Client and Subcontractors on the project
On a scheduled basis will present project results to client organizations
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility in the Management of Project Controls on Nuclear Projects
Active membership or accreditation in AACE, PMI, or similar association is a plus
Reviewing and approving manpower requirements and exercising management direction with respect to selection, appraisal, and training of staff
Leading and / or providing expert level technical knowledge and guidance in the design and delivery of highly complex technical issues
Expert knowledge / understanding of overall project / business processes
Customer relationship management and Project / Process management
Superior communication and leadership skills; must be able to present to client and company executives weekly and / or monthly project status reports
Senior level internal and external customer engagement
