Implementation Advisor, Canadian Operations

One (1) Year Full Time Term

Location Remote Worker in Canada

The Canadian Red Cross Society, a not for profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to helping the most vulnerable in Canada and throughout the world, is currently seeking a Implementation Advisor to support the preparation and implementation of the Emergency Management Information System (EMIS) within the Emergency Management program.

The incumbent will apply their strong organization and writing skills to develop documentation, coordinate testing and support training.

Working within a complex matrix structure, the Advisor demonstrates their adaptive, flexible, creative and detail-orientated style in contributing to ensuring successful implementation.

  • In this role you will :

  • Consult with key stakeholders to ensure the development of accurate business processes, job aids and other documentation to support the effective use of EMIS that align with business operations.
  • Seek feedback from team to ensure business processes reflect practice
  • Organize, track and store all documentation to ensure updated materials are accessible and archival standards are timely.
  • Contribute to the development of testing plans, test cases and other essential documentation to support users in methodical testing of EMIS.
  • Coordinate testing demos and briefings, organize results and feedback from testing team
  • Establish a Train the Trainer team who will be responsible for championing the system within geographies.
  • Facilitate the solicitation, collation and review of feedback of all training documentation.
  • Coordinate training sessions including scheduling, communication and material preparation
  • Create documentation and communication material required for successful implementation within geographies.
  • Coordinate evaluations and develop lessons observed / recommendations for future projects.
  • We’re looking for :

  • University degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution
  • Five or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with a team from coordination to implementation.
  • Ability to effectively develop strong cross-functional working relationships, evidenced by a track record of teamwork and collegiality, building relationships
  • Knowledge

  • Familiarity with software, Smartsheet, Microsoft SharePoint
  • Familiarity working with virtual teams
  • Working Conditions

  • The majority of the response work is performed from a remote home office or in an adapted response environment which is moderately clean and comfortable.
  • Able to work non-traditional hours (daytime, evenings and weekends), be available to respond to emergency / disaster related requests
  • If working in a response site, health and safety considerations will be outlined prior to the assignment.
