Talan Canada is growing and looking to strengthen its team with a JavaScript BI Dashboard Developer for the Montreal office, who will be interested in working with clients from multiple industries.
1. Project and dashboard development :
Develop, test, and deploy data visualisation tools and dashboards as part of project
Estimate effort development and ensure timely delivery to client
Work with the team to ensure customer deadlines are met and priorities given accordingly
Collect, identify, and translate business and technical requirements to project team
Report on project status, ensure capex allocation and coverage for our customers
Collaborate proactively within GBSU and other team to meet team’s objectives for high level of quality and delivery
Lead agile meetings and ceremonies with project team and customers
Collaborate with external teams willing to start BI projects
Work closely with Feature Teams, Product owners, agile coaches, and stakeholders to deliver solutions in line with Business needs
Ensure that release management / change management processes are followed.
2. Team player :
Follow and adopt Agile organisation within the team;
Work with the team to create synergies, bridges and ensure up-to-date documentations;
Report on project status, ensure capex allocation and coverage for internal topics;
Assist on regular communications sent to our stakeholders and sponsors;
Assist on regular team meetings and follow-up with the team;
Rely on IT best practices to improve quality of development;
Participate as a motivated, proactive and highly contributing member of the project team;
Work closely with the BIC manager to share updates, raise alerts and assist on billing exercise.
Intermediate level of experience someone looking for growth. Between junior and intermediate (or very bright junior).
Rigorous, dynamic, detail oriented, fast learning capacity and able to work in a high-pressure environment
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledgeable in UX techniques for front-end and dashboard creation
Good interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)
Proactive on taking leadership when needed, self-motivated, dynamic and result oriented
Ability to coordinate and facilitate project execution and delivery commitment with other teams under different operational time zones
Fluent in English (French is appreciated)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or relevant technical field
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficient in JavaScript / understanding or experience in ReactJS framework
Proficient in Web development (HTML, CSS)
Experience in API
Experience with HighCharts / Ag-Grid Javascript libraries
Experience in BI or data related projects
Experience in Agile projects
Experience in teamwork and collaborative tools (Git)
Experience with Jenkins and automated tests
A plus :
Experience with a BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy, QlikView, Business Objects )
Experience in data and reporting skills (SQL & data modeling)
Experience with one ETL tool (Talend, SSIS, Informatica, )
You must live in the Great Montreal area and possess a valid work permit.
