We are continuously hiring new talent to join our passion-driven organization, and we are currently looking for a motivated Linux Technical Support to join our growing team.

What you'll be doing. . .

Visier is looking for an IT Technical Support for an initial 6 month contract in our Vancouver office. The successful candidate will work with a small team to provide Linux and Mac hardware and software support to nearly 400 employees across Canada, the US, and UK.

This position will be the first line of support to the organization and handle the lifecycle of desktop systems while also supporting a wide array of SaaS application.

The successful candidate will need to effectively communicate with peers, management, and is eager to find ways to improve processes and make customer experiences better.

Solid written and oral communication skills are imperative and the candidate must possess the ability to work with minimal direct supervision.

A strong sense of urgency and self-initiative are required.

What you'll bring to the table...


  • Minimum 1+ year Helpdesk / Desktop Support experience
  • Must have experience supporting Mac and Linux machines / environment
  • Experience with ITIL and ticketing procedures / systems (eg. Remedy / ServiceNow / Jira)
  • Fundamental understanding of networking
  • Hands on experience supporting SaaS products such as G-Suite / O365
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Nice-to-Have

  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) knowledge such as AirWatch / Jamf
  • Deployment and configuration management tools (Puppet / Chef / Ansible / SaltStack)
  • Scripting languages (bash / Perl / Python / PHP / Powershell)
  • Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or VMWare vSphere
  • Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory experience
