Role

MacroHealth is looking for a smart, passionate, and highly skilled Data Analyst with a strong Healthcare background and experience working in startups and larger companies in a high-

tempo, dynamic environments. As a data scientist, you will be responsible for all aspects of data engineering, scrubbing and for developing visualization tools in order to produce actionable insights from data for our customers, and for our internal organization.

This position requires you to be a self-starter with the ability to take ownership, work with tight timelines, and handle various tasks simultaneously while continuing to develop a positive work culture.

You will join a world renowned leadership team with a track record of leading the development of multiple successful companies and products.

Responsibilities :

  • Filter and cleanse unstructured (or ambiguous) high-dimensional, complex data into usable data sets that can be analyzed to extract insights and improve business processes.
  • Develop customer and claim analysis / visualization tools for optimization, for use both internally and externally by our customers.
  • Develop predictive analytics based on historical results and estimates.
  • Automate date ingest and extraction from a variety of sources.
  • Identify new internal and external data sources to support analytics initiatives and work with appropriate partners to absorb the data into new or existing data infrastructure.
  • Work closely with the engineering team in order to leverage and help guide the backend data platform.
  • Work closely with top management to prioritize information and analytic needs.
  • Requirements :

  • Masters degree or equivalent in a quantitative field (such as Engineering, Statistics, Math, Economics, or Computer Science with Modeling / Data Science).
  • Prior work experience in the healthcare or insurance industries are preferred but not required.
  • Ability to program in any high level language is required. Familiarity with R and statistical packages are preferred.
  • Proven problem solving and debugging skills.
  • Familiar with database technologies and tools (SQL / R / SAS / JMP etc.), data warehousing, transformation and processing.
  • Work experience with real data for customer insights, business and market analysis will be advantageous.

  • Experience with text analytics, data mining and social media analytics.
  • Statistical knowledge in standard techniques : Logistic Regression, Classification models, Cluster Analysis, Neural Networks, Random Forests, Ensembles, etc.
