As a Privacy Manager, you provide advice and guidance to the business and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the business in ensuring Client not only complies with the privacy laws and regulation, but implements best practices and innovative privacy solutions to earn the trust of all Client stakeholders.
You will assist in the identification of privacy risk arising from the many and varied initiatives and will creatively solution with the business to enable Client to leverage the value in data while still protecting privacy and ensuring our uses of data are ethical and consistent with all Client values.
You also play a role in supporting and evolving Client’s overall data governance framework, to help Client exercise and demonstrate leadership in all aspects of data governance and specifically in the ethical use of data.
Supporting our customer privacy commitments while coaching / guiding the business on internal controls and governance processes
Working with multiple areas of the business to embed Privacy by Design’ in the development and deployment of new products and services
Providing guidance and leadership to the organization while supporting the business to meet their strategic priorities while protecting the Client brand at all times
Developing strong relationships with other team members across the organization in various business units to better enable you to work as a business partner
Collaborating and influencing external stakeholders, including customers, regulators, key stakeholder groups in the healthcare ecosystem
Taking ownership for the privacy aspects of multiple process-focused projects or large complex programs
Engaging in regular, ongoing, collaborative interaction with the business to understand operational changes and support the business in assessing and understanding the impacts of laws and regulations
Leading national, cross-functional teams to resolve challenges, implement process improvements, and execute our competitive strategy, including our commitment to customer privacy
Communicating with a variety of stakeholders as may be required regarding privacy activities and issues
Learning continuously, innovating every day and seeking opportunities to develop and demonstrate thought-leadership

Bilingualism in English & French
International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) certification or willingness to become certified within 6 months
Legal background / experience
Project management experience
Broad-based knowledge of the business and operations of Client or another large enterprise company
Must Have Skills :
Experience reviewing Privacy Impact Assessments
Experience consulting with internal stakeholders to ensure they are compliant with Canadian privacy legislation.
Privacy certified professional (CIPP / C, CIPM)
Nice to Have Skills :
Experience managing Access Requests and Privacy Incidents in accordance to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) or substantially similar legislation.
Project management skills
