This position will manage a team of Network Engineers proving support to one or more OnX Managed Services clients and work with various departments within Core Network, OSP Planning & Engineering, VoIP Engineering, and other operations and support organizations in the planning, configuration and implementation associated with our IP network(s). Essential Functions
Manage a team of approximately 6 Network Engineers providing services to one or more OnX clients in the Atlantic Region
Focal point to OnX clients for Network services
Ensure compliance with SLAs
Participate in monthly / quarterly reviewsEducationFour years of College resulting in a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job-related experienceExperience / Background
Minimum 5 years related technical / networking experience required
Minimum 2 years team management experience
Strong background in engineering and administering IP networks.
Cisco Certifications such as CCNP or CCIE highly recommended.
In depth Experience with TCP / IP platforms involving dynamic routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP and their related control protocols.
Practical real world experience of heterogeneous networking components along with knowledge of routing / switching involving VLANs, ATM, Frame relay and optical carriers.
Project Management experience a plus.
Experience using network analysis, management and performance monitoring tools to evaluate product and service behaviors.
Excellent communication skills demonstrated through customer service experience
