About the Role

Reporting to the Wescam ILS Manager, the ILS ProjectCoordinator will provide support to the department ILS Project Managers andsection leads in the implementation and execution of projects andprograms.

In doing so, the role willprovide vital support to ensure the ILS requirements on all programs arecompleted on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintainthe ILS department forward load for all programs and sustaining work.
  • Produceand maintain ILS schedules on behalf of the ILS PM, integrating with overallproject schedules as required.

    Produceand assist in the production of ILS program deliverables and reports issuingdocumentation using the Company configuration management process.

    AssistILS PM in producing standardized program review deliverables

    Generateand issue product and system Maintenance Plans

    Gatherproject execution costs and produce reports for the ILS PM.

    Collectand report on department metrics and other project performance data

    Assistthe ILS lead to produce estimates and deliverables for bids and proposals asdirected by the Wescam ILS Manager.

    Interfacewith systems and product engineers for technical validation and verification ofdata

    Assistthe Wescam ILS Manager and other function leads in continuous improvementactivities

    Carryout other duties as required

    Desired Skills

    Analyticaland flexible when solving problems

    Ableto plan and produce deliverables on electronic and / or aerospace equipmentprograms is a key asset

    Independentwork style but also a good team player.

    Ableto multitask and comfortable with multiple concurrent deadlines.

    Detail-orientedwith strong emphasis on quality of work

    Proficientuser of Microsoft Office tools with an emphasis on MS Project (or other projectplanning tool), Excel and Powerpoint.

    Effectivewritten and verbal communication skills

    Desired Experience and Education

    Universityor post secondary education in an engineering or technical discipline

    Directexperience in organizations that design, manufacturing and supportingindustrial, aerospace or electronic products is preferable

    Experienceoperating as a member of a design or product support team preferably for a defensecontractor is a definite asset.

    1-2years project planning experience

    Knowledgeof principles of Integrated Logistic Support is considered
