The manager, under the supervision of the owner(s), is responsible for maximizing store sales in order to achieve goals set by the owner(s) and manages human resources and various store administration duties.
Manage all store duties in order to maximize team efficiency and productivity and achieve or exceed sales objectives;
Act as an employee role model in meeting company customer service standards.
In accordance with the owner’s instructions, the manager is responsible for all human resources activities, including : hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, discipline and dismissal;
Help employees achieve their full potential and motivate them with continuous coaching, frequent meetings and task delegation;
Ensure that the store is kept neat and tidy at all times in order to reflect the image the company wishes to project;
Ensure that marketing and signage meet established standards and maximize sales potential;
Deal with complaints and dissatisfied customers through fair compensation;
Respond quickly and make necessary changes based on promotions, sales and seasons;
In conjunction with the window dressers, ensure that the merchandise is quickly placed on the sales floor;
Perform and suggest necessary restocking and provide the owner and / or the buyer with recommendations on a regular basis;
Manage various administrative duties (deposits, accounting, etc.) and ensure that work policies and procedures are followed;
Minimize losses by educating staff on the attitudes and behaviours to be adopted when handling merchandise;
Replace other employees as required;
Any other related tasks.
3 to 5 years of experience in a similar job
5 to 7 years of experience in retail sales
Experience in clothing and big box stores
Ability to provide exemplary customer service
Leadership and exceptional coaching ability
Good communication and interpersonal skills and dynamism
