Three (3) years of recent experience in acute mental health, preferred
Ability to rapidly shift workload priorities
Knowledge of ECT treatments and recovery
Knowledge of recovery focused model of care
Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act
Excellent understanding of psychotropic medications
Demonstrated skills in assessment, individualized care planning, intervention, evaluation and discharge planning skills for patients with various and complex mental health issues
Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines and budget in accordance to Southlake Regional Health Centre standards.
Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal
Demonstrated analytical and problem assessment skills
Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork
Demonstrated individual leadership skills
Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
