The Sanitation Technician will perform a wide variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of processing and packaging equipment and perform other duties as required within the Sanitation department.

  • Assists maintenance as needed (i.e. changing rack wheels, changing air socks, replacing filters, removing and reinstalling conveyor belts)Cleans and maintains a range of industrial equipment including : oiler machines, rack ovens, conveyor belts, scissor lifts, motors, sanitation equipment, as well as sensitive equipment;
  • all in accordance to the SOP’sPrepares equipment to be cleaned (i.e. covering equipment motors before washing)Ensures the timely and properly cleanliness of the equipment, machinery, utensils in all areas of the plantAssists the Line Leader as needed in cleaning the production and packing linesOperates Sky Jack to clean hard to reach areasCollaborate effectively with all internal groups / teamsMust adhere to company GMP’s and Health and Safety RegulationsPerforms all job responsibilities under the strictest guidelines of the BRC food safety standardsPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Ingredients : High School Diploma or EquivalentAbility to work as a team, independently and flexible to rotate onto all shifts / weekends.

  • Ability to comprehend and comply with GMP rules and Food Safety guidelines; wear proper PPE and follow all safety guidelinesMust have basic mechanical knowledge of fasteners, belts, sprockets and hand tools;
  • bolts assemblies, bolt extraction, safe use of hand tools.Must have LOTO and WHMIS training and understand how to use it.

    Ability to read, interpret and follow written job instructionsAbility to frequently lift / move material weighing up to 50 pounds.
