The role

Reporting to the Manager, Consumer Marketing, this role will be responsible for the development and implementation of content strategy on social and communications platforms.

If you’re a natural born storyteller, eager to hone your content creation and communications skills, come join the Shaw Consumer Marketing Team.

We’re looking for an up and coming marketing professional to share our product impact to engage consumers using social media and other communications channels.

A typical day

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and maintain always-on social media content that reinforces Shaw’s brand positioning and product leadership.
  • Demonstrate a strong creative instinct and understanding of what relevant content looks like. Lead the creation and implementation of always-
  • on social media content and other communications channels from concept through to execution.

  • Drive awareness and consideration of Shaw broadband products.
  • Write, create, schedule and distribute content across social channels, with deliberate planning, goal setting, analyzing and reporting on effectiveness of content.
  • Solid understanding of production processes in content creation, whether that be static or video content.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal partners (In house creative, production, media relations, & sales teams) as well as external partners (AOR, industry vendors, etc.
  • to plan and execute strategic and synergistic social media initiatives.

  • Keep well informed and report on industry trends, best practices and developments.
  • Your skills / experience

  • You understand how to strategically produce content that can be purposefully adapted to serve multiple audiences across a channel mix.
  • You have writing experience, consumer marketing experience and know how to take complex concepts and keep them simple.

  • 3-5 years of planning, executing and managing strategic campaigns in the social, marketing or content space. Strong writing skills are a must.
