Summary ofResponsibilities

Pembina’sConventional Pipelines Business Unit is currently seeking a Lead,Electrical / Instrumentation person to join their team.

The positionwould be in the Grande Prairie area. The Lead will be responsiblefor assisting the Foreman with coordinatingelectrical / instrumentation (E / I) work, reviewing procedures andsupervising the E / I maintenance staff and outside contractors.

Asthe qualified applicant, you will :

  • Have asafety conscious attitude for all day to day operations by ensuringPembina’s Corporate Safety Standards are met.
  • Assist the Foreman in providing supervision to PembinaElectrical and Instrumentation staff and outside contractors.
  • Promote and support the use of PMM (Pembina MaintenanceManagement).
  • Assist the PMM coordinator withplanning, scheduling and executing of work.
  • Ensure work orders are completed properly in SAP.
  • Help the Foreman address concerns, identify trainingopportunities and help team members set and meet their goals.
  • Organize and facilitate team meetings such as trainingopportunities.
  • Organize and assist projectlogistics and assign duties.
  • Recommendimprovements to improve facility efficiency and optimization.
  • Track short / long term preventative maintenanceschedules.
  • Provide quality control on PM paperwork.
  • Provide input to facility E / I budgets andcost control initiatives.
  • Evaluating the need forand lining up contractors.
  • Act as a liaisonbetween management, operations team and accounting to ensure allelectrical regulatory requirements are met.
  • Ensure procedures are updated regularly, maintained andtask observations are completed for the E / I staff. Assist increating THA’s (Task Hazard Assessment) when required to performsafe work.
  • Responsible to cover all duties of theE / I Foremen when they are unavailable.
  • Qualifications

  • Journeymancertification with a minimum of 10 years instrumentation / electricalexperience is required.
  • Demonstrate supervisory,leadership, staff development, and project management skills.
  • Experience using SAP Maintenance Management highlydesirable.
  • Strong understanding of equipmentfailure modes and implementing effective operational strategiesthat result in high reliability and low-cost facilitiesoperation.
  • Strong understanding of facilityoperations and ability to guide daily maintenance within the scopeof Pembina’s specific operating practices and applicable industrystandards and regulations.
  • Effective written andverbal communication skills including the ability to interfacepositively with the local community and Pembina’s engineering,technical support, operations department and contractpersonnel.
  • Strong organizational,time-management, and management control skills.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Safety Courses : TDG, H2S Alive, First Aid would be anasset, but if incomplete, will be provided by company to thesuccessful candidate.
  • Although a strong presencein an office environment is necessary, the successful applicantshould be willing to take a hands on’ lead in the field whennecessary.
