Qualifications and Experience :
Library and Information Technician diploma required. Intermediate courses in web related programming such as HTML, bootstrap, CSS, Java Script, and web content management required.
3 years’ experience in a library environment required.
Experience in circulation preferably using the ILS system, SIRSI
Experience in searching research databases and providing reference in the health sciences
Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong customer / public service experience
Demonstrates qualities that include strong problem solving skills, initiative, a proactive approach to duties, good time management, and a commitment to diversity
Demonstrated ability to work well within a team or independently
Experience in the use of web content management systems, web standards, web editing tools, responsive web development, graphic design for print and web.
Demonstrates experience with software such as MACOSX environment including illustrator, photoshop, desktop publishing, SnagIT, Adobe Creative Cloud, social media applications
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Office 365, Sharepoint and Outlook
Understands protocols for accessibility
