WB Games Montreal, a division of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), seeks a Senior Technical Level Designer to join its team.

In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the creation of levels by focusing on technical game systems, encounters with AI and their configuration.

Using visual coding you will also create unique events and help us improve our creative pipeline.

Responsibilities

Use industry standard 3D packages as well as proprietary WB tools to create technical setups for our game functionalities.

Work with the Lead Level Designer and programmers to design, implement and maintain game objects, systems, and NPCs.

Collaborate closely across disciplines to develop and refine the game, tools, and engine features.

Use feedback and insights provided by Development Quality Assurance and the play-testers to identify and resolve gameplay, level design issues and monitor for expected performance.

Implement and troubleshoot design revisions throughout the development process to ensure design integrity.

Participate in departmental meetings to share your ideas to improve the pipeline and define better the look and feel of the game.

Experience

5+ years of experience in a similar role with emphasis on Technical Design for Level building.

Education

Collegial degree in a relevant disciple is preferred but not required.

Knowledge / Skills

Solid understanding of 3D engines and visual scripting. Having experience with Unreal Engine and Blueprints is a definite plus.

Great communication skills, collaborative mindset, and good organizational skills.

Familiarity with 3D Studio Max.

Coding / Programming background is a definite plus but not required.

WB Games Montréal, division de Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), est à la recherche d’un.e concepteur.trice technique de niveaux senior pour se joindre à l’équipe.

Dans ce poste, tu seras responsable de supporter la création de niveaux en te concentrant sur les systèmes de jeux techniques, les rencontres avec l’IA et leur configuration.

À l’aide du codage visuel tu créeras aussi des évènements uniques et nous aideras à faire améliorer notre pipeline de création.

Responsabilités

Créer des configurations techniques pour nos fonctionnalité de jeu en utilisant des progiciels 3D reconnus et nos outils WB brevetés.

Travailler avec le.la chef.fe de l’équipe et l’équipe de programmation pour concevoir, mettre en œuvre et entretenir les objets de jeu, les systèmes et les PNJ.

Collaborer étroitement avec toutes les disciplines afin de développer et affiner le jeu, les outils et les fonctionnalités du moteur de jeu.

Mettre à profits la rétroaction et les informations fournies par l’équipe de test de développement et de tests de fonctionnalités de jeu pour identifier et résoudre les problèmes de jouabilité, de conception de niveaux et surveiller les niveaux de performances attendus.

Implémenter et dépanner les révisions de conception tout au long du processus de développement pour assurer l’intégrité de la conception.

Participer aux des réunions du département afin de partager tes idées dans le but d’améliorer le pipeline et de mieux définir l’apparence du jeu.

Expérience

Cinq ans ou plus d’expérience dans la conception de niveaux de jeu avec une emphase sur les aspects techniques.

Éducation

Diplôme collégial dans un domaine pertinent, est une préférence, mais non-requis.

Connaissances et aptitudes

Solide compréhension des moteurs 3D et du codage (scripting) visuel. Avoir de l’expérience avec Unreal Engine et Blueprints est un grand avantage.

Excellentes compétences en communication, état d’esprit collaboratif et bonnes compétences organisationnelles.

Connaissance du moteur de jeu 3D Studio MAX.

Expérience en codage ou en programmation est un atout considérable.
