Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to establish, implement and update the Interface Management Plan for the project;
  • Develop and implement effective processes for identifying, capturing and managing intra and inter project interface with respect to design, construction, integration and operation of the rail systems and facilities;
  • Manage and facilitate development and implementation of :
  • o Interface agreements;
  • o Interface control documents;
  • o Interface matrix

  • Responsible for preparing interface KPIs, status reports and progress updates regarding critical interface issues;
  • Support and contribute to the design process to ensure successful integration of interfacing systems;
  • Attend design review meetings and lead the interdisciplinary design checking process to ensure a proper integration across the project
  • Support the Stage Gate Review process, ensuring appropriate documentary evidence is in place to demonstrate that specific interface and integration requirements have been met;
  • Participate in the regular systems integration working group activities;
  • Ensure that all the interface requirements are captures in the technical specifications
  • Chair regular and ad hoc systems interface meetings with internal and external parties;
  • Review specifications, designs and records to ensure all interfacing sub-systems and systems meet safety and functional performance requirements;
  • Contribute to the development of assurance cases and arguments for all systems across the project life cycle to support commencement of train operation;
  • Review the performance of delivered systems, with respect to their interfaces, against agreed criteria and ensure the integrity of the operating railway can be demonstrated via documented evidences
  • Ensure relevant standards, legislation and regulations have been applied;
  • Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor degree in engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience in rail interface design
  • Experience in rail system and rail operational interface management
  • Excellent analytical and communications skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at once
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within cross functional teams and effectively engage others in support of projects and initiatives
  • Bilingual (French & English)
