We are currently seeking candidates to join our Atlantic Quality Management and Health and Safety team, in the position of Quality / Health & Safety Manager- Atlantic Region .
This position is open to candidates in Dartmouth, NS, Moncton, Saint John or Fredericton, NB.
Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
Develop and implement ISO 9001 Quality Management System policies and procedures.
Have overall responsibility for the region’s Joint Occupational H&S Committees and coach committee members on their roles and responsibilities.
Coordinate investigations related to safety incidents or quality system non-conformances.
Conduct and / or coordinate safety and quality system training
Support ongoing evaluation and implementation of quality and safety training programs by ensuring safety training is delivered as legislated and is compatible with Engobe’s standards and procedures along with industry best practices.
Development of both instructor-led and electronic delivery of quality and health and safety training programs, including delivery, assessment, and learner resource support tools
Research and maintain awareness of regulatory compliance requirements and ensure that changes are reflected in training programs as required.
Assist with various internal and external program audits to ensure quality training objectives are met and improvements implemented
Oversee ongoing recertifications of safety and quality systems.
Suggest system improvements.
Liaise with the Corporate Quality and Health and Safety team.
Regular travel to our offices or work sites throughout Atlantic Canada will be required.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or an equivalent blend of relevant education and experience
Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety is an asset.
5+ years of relevant work experience
Strong familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety legislation, and related standards, from various jurisdictions affecting the consulting engineering industry, specifically throughout Atlantic Canada Provinces.
Previous training or experience in instructional design, including electronic delivery, would be an asset
Previous experience with professional service quality management systems would be an asset
Strong computer skills with the Microsoft Office suite
Strong communication (written / oral) and public presentation skills required
Bilingual capability (French and English) would be an asset
Capability to engage constructively and respectfully with individuals of diverse backgrounds
