Inland Pipe is a division of Lehigh Hanson Materials Limited. We are a local manufacturer and distributors of precast concrete pipes, manholes, and other related drainage products, at our highly automated, state-of-the-art facility located in Vancouver, BC.
The Inside Sales Representative will be based in Vancouver and report to the Technical Sales Manager.

Proactive customer call cycle
Minimize unnecessary credits and returns
Process work in timely fashion
Order book maintained and managed
Compliance with corporate standards and requirements
What you’ll get to do
Assist senior sales staff with market management, product pricing, sales strategy, sales goals for across Northern Alberta market
Develop working knowledge of municipal specifications for Western Canada with focus on local area specifications
Plan and attend formal and non-formal meetings with customers in order to drive market and sales strategy
Manage all technical aspects of quotes, projects and work with technical Sales team and engineering groups to address project or quote related issues and customer specific requirements
Prepare detailed accurate quotes and send to customers
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and correspondence
Communicate with customers, shipping and plant staff regarding product availability, delivery timeline and schedule
Perform detailed takeoffs, shop drawings and quote packages, and work thru approval process with clients for all precast materials as needed
Submit engineering requests as needed for items requiring specialized design or dimensional information
Recognize and communicate opportunities to offer value added products and services during takeoff and quoting process
Support of distribution coordinator and backfilling of the position on an as-needed basis
Assist Technical Marketing with creation and coordination of sales and marketing materials
Work as part of team to improve work flow and achieve team KPI goals
Ensure Titan ERP system is updated with accurate anticipation dates and orders are cleaned up when completed
Other duties as required
Essential Experience and Skills
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Business. P.Eng. or CET designations are an asset
General knowledge of the underground utility construction industry, technical knowledge of concrete and precast drainage products is an asset
Proficient with Microsoft Office software and engineering design software.
Strong track record of effective problem resolution and customer satisfaction
Strong negotiation and networking skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work well under time and scheduling pressure
Work Environment :
Role operates in an office and manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
