Overview of the opportunity :

Our Global Infrastructure Advisory practice comprises approximately 50 professionals in Toronto and 100 professionals nationally, with backgrounds in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, consulting, public policy, and project management.

Our team works across geographies and asset classes - including Power & Utilities, Natural Resources, Transportation, Communication, Digital, and Social infrastructure - to support our clients in identifying, assessing and managing infrastructure investments.

Beyond Canada, KPMG has a strong global presence in infrastructure markets around the world, and our Canadian team works closely with our colleagues in other countries to support major infrastructure investments in growing economic markets.

KPMG's Real Estate practice offers full support to our clients to manage, invest in and occupy estate assets. Our clients include some of Canada's leading real estate occupiers and investors.

Our services can include developing investment planning, occupancy management and transaction strategies. We are known for bringing a multi-disciplinary approach to our clients, leveraging the diverse skill set of our team.

What you will do

As an Analyst / Associate, Deal Advisory - Real Estate, located in our downtown Toronto office, you will have the opportunity to provide a range of real estate advisory and financial due diligence services on behalf of our occupier and investor clients to help them drive value from their real estate assets, with a forward-thinking approach to occupying, managing, and transacting.

This role includes but is not limited to :

Client Services

Advise real estate occupier and investor clients in a variety of areas, including :

  • Prepare detailed market research and analysis relating to specific real estate assets and / or asset classes, geographies, or key client investments.
  • Identify and report on key issues, including performing the relevant financial analysis and interpreting the results.
  • Participate with your engagement team in discussions with senior client executives and advisors
  • Write detailed professional reports and other client deliverables.
  • Establish credibility and develop relationships with current and prospective clients.
  • Contribute to the effective working of the team and development of team morale.

    What you bring to the role

  • Degree in real estate, commerce, finance, economics, land use planning, urban geography or related program.
  • Financial and commercial acumen with strong analytical skills.
  • Understanding of real estate valuation and land use planning principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and handle changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a capability to nurture relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proven capability of working within a multi-disciplinary, geographically distributed team.
  • Above-average proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced, and demanding environment.
