What is the opportunity?

The Senior Technical Systems Analyst will collaborate across IT and with assigned business line(s) to assess, research, and analyze business, technical and system needs in order to resolve business systems issues by recommending technology solutions that meet sponsor / stakeholder needs.

This is a production support role for the Charles River Investment Management System trading platform and Trade Surveillance applications.

What will you do?

  • Manage day to day production support issues and seeing through to resolution.
  • Involves rotational on-call and occasional weekend support

  • Be responsible for change management activities in test and production environments, including deployment of code, adhering to source code management policies and release procedures
  • Maintain health and safety of production systems and applications.
  • Identifies risks and proposes actions to mitigate

  • Work with development teams and business partners to provide input on best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives in an agile environment
  • Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, management, stakeholders, infrastructure teams and interface groups using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close
  • Build knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems
  • Provides coaching, expertise, and feedback to build the capabilities of the team
  • What do you need to succeed?


  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL (2008+)
  • Windows Server (2008+) experience
  • communication skills, both written and oral for presentations, technical write-ups and Facilitation tasks
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize own and team work
  • Nice to have

  • Prior hands on expertise with the Charles River application
  • Trading life cycle knowledge
  • Mainframe programming
