OverviewEDC is in search of a dedicated and resourceful student to join its Real Estate & Facilities team. This team provides real estate services for both head office and all regional offices.
These services include collecting of market research on office rental rates, space availability, acquiring specialty real estate services such as brokerage, appraisal, interior design, engineering, moving, furniture acquisitions, project management and any other specialty services required to successfully open a new office or relocate / renovate an existing one.
Landlord liaison, lease negotiations, lease document preparation, rental payments, parking cost administration, operating cost reviews and escalation payments are all managed by the RE&F team.
Responsibilities may include : Monitor Facilities Requests electronic account on an ongoing basis, triage & follow up on requests (both furniture / building related)Assist with the design and updating of electronic floor plansMove Management update electronic move task lists, aid in the management of move supplies & distribute / collect move boxesDeliver requested additional furniture / equipment as requestedAid in furniture set up and dismantlingProvide back-up to team with regard to statistical informationLiaise with outside vendors as requiredAbility to complete minor on site repairsIdeal candidate : University or College student Specializing in Interior Design or Architectural TechnologyProficiency with AutoCAD Excellent interpersonal and customer service skillsStrong knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Motivated self-starter, good organizational and analytical skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and within a teamMust be able to stand, bend, stretch and walk for long periods of time (e.
