like culture, we would love to hear from you. As the Practice Lead for our Telecom automation practice, you will be responsible for providing driving market engagement with Mariner’s key clients.
You willwork closely with clients to ensure that their ongoing and future technology investments are well aligned with their business strategy, and will help clients identify transformative automation opportunities within their business.
As a leader in the Mariner organization, you will also be responsible for leading the automation innovation agenda both internally and within our client community.
You will also be expected to serve as a mentor for Mariner’s broader team of consultants and automation professionals.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting automation solutions for service provider use cases. You will be responsible for shaping the software solutions we bring to market and helping our service provider customers transform their networks to virtualized, cloud enabled, automated and secure systems.

Key Responsibilities :
Develop Mariner’s Automation practice including methodology, framework and product and service offerings
Drive awareness of latest software automation industry trends and innovations, promoting Mariner Solutions with key industry influencers
Recruit and support new automation practice hires
Train new hires on the Mariner automation framework and approach
Interface directly with clients as we build and grow the practice
Support Mariner Sales team members in presales activities
Support RFP responses and develop market pursuit initiatives to promote lead generation
Provide direct automation software services to clients (billable work)
Mentor, coach and support Mariner automation professionals who are on site with clients
Work with client stakeholders to understand broad business requirements and strategy, and lead the development of software automation roadmaps that align with the identified needs of business.
Evaluate client’s technology investment alternatives for strategic fit, feasibility, and financial impact.
Using a combination of Mariner’s software micro-services, common open source and COTS technologies, you will design, implement, and support automation solutions for Mariner and our customers.
Mariner and most of our clients use Agile philosophy; you will attend and actively participate in regular team scrums and sprint review / planning activities.
10+ years combined experience in consultancy, project / program delivery and technical leadership.
Well-respected and collaborative leader with a proven record of success managing multi-disciplined, high-performance professional services teams.
Practical first-hand knowledge of the professional services business, including key financial, human resource, and business development considerations.
Well-developed perspective on the business opportunity presented by key technology areas, including Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Big Data, Mobility, & Cyber Security.
Demonstrated experience in the areas of IT strategy, IT planning, value management, project management, enterprise architecture, technical architecture, and IT sourcing / procurement.
Ability to lead development of customer deliverables, delivery methodologies, proposals, and marketing collateral.
Bachelors’ degree (mandatory) and / or graduate degrees (preferred); relevant professional designations and technical certifications (preferred).
Masters / Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science / Engineering.
Ability to travel throughout Canada and United States
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a full-stack Software Developer.
Basic understanding of networking concepts.
Familiarity with Software Defined Networks & Network Function Virtualization.
Advanced knowledge and experience in several of : LinuxJava, Shell, Perl, Ruby, Python ScriptingConfiguration Management automation (Ansible, Chef, Helm, Puppet, etc.
