Chatham Physiotherapy

Chatham Physiotherapy is looking for an Exercise Therapist to join our team. Our clinic has a large well-equipped gymnasium, two private treatment rooms;

a massage therapy room; and a three-bed curtained treatment area for our physiotherapy and specialty services. We provide assessment and rehabilitation for OHIP, WSIB, MVA, Private and OWN.

You will work alongside other health care professionals to rehabilitate individuals who have sustained complex work-related and other injuries.

In this role you will :

Perform biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments under the mentorship and direction of a physiotherapist

Design, implement and supervise graded exercise, work conditioning and / or work hardening programs

Perform biweekly reassessment of client progress through functional testing

Record functional and subjective findings in client charts on a regular basis

Work cooperatively with clients to set and achieve functional goals

Conduct group orientation and education lectures and regular one-on-one education to clients

Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress and discharge

Ensure return to work plans with client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart

Qualifications :

Personal, friendly demeanor with excellent relationship-building skills

Previous private clinic experience is a strong asset

A degree in the field of Kinesiology is preferred

Bilingualism (English and French) is required
