Position Overview :

The Department Coordinator supports the Corporate Citizenship team and will work directly with the VP, Corporate Citizenship on various projects that require additional administrative assistance.

The ideal candidate enjoys being part of a bigger team but can work independently on various project, event and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all databases and records are completed fully and correctly
  • Assist in completion and submission of applicable social, structural and trace-ability audit requests in a timely manner
  • Provide administrative support to VP, including calendar management, travel planning and expense reporting
  • Track and execute all corporate donations (both financial and in-kind)
  • Assist on administration of CG Gives platform and Project Atigi execution
  • Manage budget tracking for Corporate Citizenship team and all invoice payment processing to Accounts Payable, including monthly accruals, POs and invoices
  • Organize moderate amounts of business information and develop into cohesive, professional reports and presentations required for monthly / quarterly reporting to the business
  • Assist on events, volunteer activation and communications where required
  • Experience, Education and Designations :

  • Post-secondary degree is an asset.
  • 2-3 years experience in an office environment with business and stakeholder communications
  • The ideal candidate has an analytical nature and enjoys problem solving and uses these skills to collect, organize, and manage information with a high level of detail and accuracy
  • Experience working and communicating with third parties is considered an asset, especially across multiple cultures and languages
  • Knowledge, Skills and Attributes :

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast -paced environment with a high degree of change and ambiguity
  • Self motivated, proactive thinker and highly collaborative team player
  • Natural connector who works well with others internally and externally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills
  • Strong sense of urgency to achieve results
  • Excellent technical abilities (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • An interest in corporate social responsibility, social compliance, community relations and sustainability are considered an asset
  • Working Conditions :

  • Position is based in Toronto
  • Minimal travel requirements less than 5%
