Job Description

The Drug and Alcohol Treatment Information System (DATIS) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is currently seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) for an IT / DS Analyst in the CAMH Toronto, Ontario office.

DATIS is a program of CAMH, funded by the Ministry of Health, to collect and report service utilization data from addiction and problem gambling treatment agencies across Ontario.

Additionally, DATIS supports and reports on data from the Ontario Harm Reduction Database (ONHRDB) and provides service desk support to the Stage Screening and Assessment and Ontario Perception of Care provincial projects.

You will be part of a team who provides customer service via our service desk application, diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues when appropriate and escalates for additional support as required.

You will respond to customers’ data management needs which includes but is not limited to understanding their reporting needs, technical assistance, system administration of DATIS products and special projects as determined by new funding resources.

The IT / DS Analyst position provides input, testing and training for applications of the systems we support. CAMH-DATIS have staff both on-site in Toronto and regionally, therefore, you will be required to work within this type of environment and can communicate effectively using video-conferencing, email and online shared documentation tool.

The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a computer-related or social sciences field and have at least two (2) years of relevant experience.

In addition, the candidate must have at least 3 years of experience with front-line customer service, service request fulfillment and trouble shooting.

Experience working in the Community Addictions and Mental Health and / or Harm Reduction Sector is required. Advanced knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in computerized systems and applications including databases is also required.

You will have strong interpersonal skills as well as effective organizational skills to work as part of a distributed team relying on telephone, video conference and email communications to collaborate on work.

Knowledge and experience documenting communications in a help desk application is required, use of JIRA Helpdesk application is an asset.

Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment with minimal supervision are required.

Experience supporting users of health data management systems (preferably in the addictions and / or mental health sectors) is a strong asset.

Bilingualism (French / English) is considered an asset. Please note : This full-time, contract (12 months) positions is part of the OPSEU Bargaining Unit.

Salary range : $33.01 - $44.53 per hour
