Job Level

NV-09As a Graphic Artist Advisor, you will produce innovative marketing and communication materials to promote our insurance products and services to existing and potential clients, keeping in mind the consumer positioning of the Desjardins Group.

You must focus on the needs of our members and clients, and on the Desjardins networks. You will help promote the brand, the Group and play a leadership role with the various stakeholders involved in the development and implementation of complex strategic projects.

These projects require in-depth knowledge and experience in the areas of marketing and communications.

You will make clear conceptual and operational recommendations on the development and implementation of complex projects.

You will interact with many stakeholders from various disciplines; the ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships is therefore essential.

You will act as a consultant for content in your field and as a resource person and mentor for various authorities.

Main responsibilities

You will manage graphic design projects and assignments that are aligned with strategic priorities of the organization, working in close collaboration with multiple teams, and graphic designers and copywriters from content development team

Lead digital, motion design and traditional graphic design projects from creative planning to execution, managing all the deliverables.

Inform and support your team and partners in the positioning, planning, creation, implementation and monitoring of various projects and strategic mandates under your responsibility

Understand and contribute to creative briefs and present design ideas, connecting creative to business strategy while ensuring collaboration and buy-in of concepts by various stakeholders

Use terminology consistent with best practices in the financial services industry, also taking into account Desjardins best practices

Understand and manage creative development according to brand guidelines and become subject matter expert to deliver nuances for various networks

Identify any issue, challenge, need and potential problem to be resolved in the developing graphic design projects that will have a significant effect on the Desjardins brand image to ensure that results meet expectations

Propose innovative ideas and oversee the production of various graphic design projects : advertisements, videos, websites, newsletters, promotional campaigns, mass circulation print materials, etc.

Help the team deliver high quality projects, and ensure that graphic design programs reflect the voice and tone of the Desjardins brand

Develop focused marketing content and implement strategies to leverage content across earned, owned and paid channels while measuring impact

Manage multiple content / editorial projects in various stages of development simultaneously

Support team efficiency and collaboration by helping review and update content processes regularly and suggesting opportunities for improvement

Manage freelance graphic designers, assigning work, reviewing content and providing feedback, managing invoicing, tracking performance, and maintaining positive working relationships

Stay up-to-date on content marketing best practices and technology and share best practices with the team.

Other working conditions

Workplace : Position located in Aurora, Mississauga, LĂ©vis or Montreal, depending on the applicant selected. The work arrangement for the position is hybrid work #LI-Hybrid

Number of jobs available : 1


Bachelor's degree in design, fine arts or another visual creative field

A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience including 2 years in videos and motion design

Experience working in a content management system CMS, highly desirable

Insurance and Financial Services sectors experience (an asset)

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

Proven success in graphic design, preferably within marketing function

For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge

Excellent knowledge of Adobe Suite of products and video creation / editing tools

Expert Knowledge of graphic design principles, such as typography, visual storytelling, hierarchy and structure, interactivity and motion design principles
