The Training Design Specialist is responsible for designing and developing educational materials to support the implementation of Scotia Wealth Management’s Digital Transformation.
Majot Accountabilities : Support the overall digital transformation by : Acting as an advocate of digital transformation activitiesProviding training and support mechanisms to drive the skills, knowledge and behaviours required for the successful implementation of digital transformation initiativesDevelop and maintain system expertise by : Attending relevant project meetings to understand developments and functionalityConsulting Regional Field Representatives, as Subject Matter Experts / In-Field support providersUtilizing UAT / training environments for systems / applications to understand user experience and test casesDesign and deliver training solutions by : Collaborating with the Change Managers to develop a training plan to support each project / initiativeConducting audience analysis for users impacted by the change initiative, to identify appropriate content and format of training materialEngaging business stakeholders and subject matter experts throughout the Design and Development stagesUtilizing leading edge innovations in learner experience solutionsSupport the sustained effectiveness of training solutions by : Evaluating the impact of system upgrades and changes and determining required modification of training and / or method of updating in-field usersCataloguing training materials to ensure timely revision, when requiredMaintaining training materials, as needed, for accuracy and functionalityDeveloping communications related to / supporting the rollout of training materialDocumenting sustainment recommendations and evaluation methods for training initiativesEducation / Work Experience Required : Knowledge of adult learning principlesKnowledge of learning modalities, including remote deliveryKnowledge of learning cycle (design, development process)Experience in a training-related positionTechnical writing experience / skills, preferredKnowledge of the financial industry;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Excellent interpersonal skills;Excellent relationship management skills;Must be flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment;
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work within strict deadlines;Ability to work independently and cooperatively as member of a team;
