Reporting to the Director, Finance Cost Optimization, the primary responsibilities of this position are to analyze, report, and manage the capital program in the Rogers Wireless business.

The Manager of Wireless Capital Finance will work closely with Wireless Finance and cross-functional leadership teams including Product, Marketing, and Retail Channels, to manage a $1.

4B capital portfolio. The successful individual will oversee month-end capital reporting, produce monthly forecasts and lead monthly reviews with the business and Finance leadership on the progress of capital programs along with identification of risks and opportunities.

Additionally, this role will be instrumental in supporting the Wireless position in the overall capital governance process, ensuring appropriate governance on review and approval of capital programs.

Responsibilities :

  • Accountable for the Wireless capital portfolio across RCI
  • Prepare reporting and analysis on Wireless Capital outlooks, and CI ratios
  • Work with the Consumer Wireless business to produce annual budget and monthly forecasts
  • Deliver 6-quarter rolling forecast to ensure ongoing visibility to the long term needs of the business
  • Lead monthly reviews with business and Wireless Finance leadership to discuss progress against the capital plan, interpret results and redirect funds as required to facilitate management to target
  • Identify risks and opportunities throughout the year, with recommendations to leadership to effectively manage the budget and ensure departmental objectives are achieved and prioritized within approved targets
  • Support the Wireless capital governance forums for Wireless / Consolidated capital project reviews and approvals
  • Prepare required weekly summarized reports for executive leadership on approved capital programs / projects
  • Strengthen capital governance to ensure efficient use of resources while streamlining access to necessary funding
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • University Degree and accounting / finance designation (MBA / CPA / CMA / CGA / CA / CFA) is required
  • Self-starter who proactively adapts to a changing environment and ability to work independently
  • Strong financial analysis skills and strong business sense.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines. Ability to multi-task and flexibility to work extended hours as required.
  • Strong time management, with the ability to perform multiple tasks and objectives and prioritize effectively to meet timelines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Financials and Essbase an asset
