We currently have an opportunity for a
Superintendent, Supply Chain
Reporting to the General Manager the Supply Chain Superintendent will provide leadership and direction to a Supply Chain department of 18.
Oversee all areas in Supply Chain including purchasing, warehousing, inventory and contracts.
Ensure procurement is performed in accordance with the standards and at the lowest possible cost to the company, while maintaining high customer service level and undisrupted operations.
Ensure the Supply Chain objectives are aligned with internal customer and company goals and strategy.
Sustain a strong safety culture with visible leadership
Ensure direct reports have a clear understanding of their responsibilities to the outcomes and have the resources to accomplish them.
Train and develop individuals in accordance with company succession planning.
Recommend targets for cost reduction, cost savings, service levels and supplier management
Manage Supply Chain budget
Monitor internal customer feedback and Supply Chain KPIs
Oversee contract process
Professional Experience / Qualifications
Leadership roles focused on logistics, warehousing, purchasing, inventory and contracts.
Eight (8) years progression Supply Chain experience related to Mining with three (3) years in supervision role.
Experience and working knowledge of unionized environments and employee relations.
Working knowledge of the Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for Mines in BC and regulatory framework an asset.
Proven People management skills and excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio.
