The Thompson Rivers University School of Nursing anticipates having sessional faculty positions available in the Health Care Assistant (HCA) program during the period of September 3, 2019 to March 20, 2020.

The successful candidate(s) will teach theory and lab / practice courses in the HCA programs and will organize activities related to HCA including but not limited to attending meetings, clinical agency liaison, development of student clinical assignments and conducting student evaluations.

Program start date is September 3, 2019 end date will be March 20, 2020.


  • Master's required, Master's in progress may be considered
  • Undergraduate degree must be in nursing
  • Practicing membership with BCCNP required
  • Teaching experience at the program level preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Long Term Care, in a nurse / client relationship
  • We welcome applications from candidates with their BScN. The non-qualified language would apply if successful.
