Why is this role important?
The Store Support Analyst contributes to the attainment of merchandising programs and themes by supporting the Sr. Category Director, Fresh Procurement in delivering targeted financial performance.
Monitoring of existing programs to help to make recommendations to move the format & business initiatives forward.
Developing, supporting and analyzing future strategic plans to enhance the business.
Develop and maintain periodic reporting to support ley strategic pillars as part of the teams 3 year plans
Develop and maintain a reporting system identifying key selling periods on individual categories based on ad & store performance
Coordinate through the Business Units, Store Operations and the other parts of the business to assist with the set up of items, data integrity and store opening processes of new store openings and major renovations.
Provide rigorous daily support and problem solving directly to stores; managing abundant communication via multiple phone calls and e-mail
Trouble shoot and provide resolution regarding store supported issues
Develop program tools that will ensure execution of Category Management designed initiatives / mandates / programs
Monitor and communicate program execution progress on a bi-weekly basis to ensure merchandising divisions are meeting deadlines, providing detailed explanations / reporting on promotional sell-through.
Work with Format Merchandising to understand / analyze financial targets (sales, profit, and margin) for all merchandising programs, ensuring the level of investment delivers target performance for all flyer and in-store programs.
Support program content development process (items and price) across all categories.
Monitor the performance of the programs to ensure ROI.
Examine competitive communication activities and recommend responses.
Role Requirements :
1- 2 years, Analyst and / or Assistant. Merchandising experience preferred
Energetic individual able to work independently and within a team environment.
Proficient with computers with a solid working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word and PowerPoint required
Working knowledge of Microstrategy, Bi-Query, SAP, ELVIS and other Loblaw systems would be a strong asset.
Post-secondary education and experience at store level are highly recommended.
